Tanya McIntosh is an Infection Control Nurse at the University of Kansas Health System. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Saint Francis Medical Center College of Nursing. Tanya has worked in the field of nursing for 12 years. She worked as a bedside nurse in various nursing fields including medical-surgical, progressive care, and home care/hospice. Tanya has worked in infection control since 2015 and is certified in infection control (CIC). Tanya’s areas of focus include hand hygiene, standard and transmission-based precautions, C. difficile, construction and renovation, and emerging infectious diseases. She is an active participant in her local Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology and has served on the Awards and Nominating Committee for several years.
