Alan Card earned his PhD from the Engineering Design Centre at the University of Cambridge, where he studied in the Healthcare Design research group. The combination of design thinking learned there and the expertise in public health science he gained through his MPH studies have given Dr. Card a unique perspective that informs his research outlook. His work spans the risk management process, but he has made particularly important contributions in the area of intervention design (aka risk control).
