Dr. Lisa Sundahl Platt is an Assistant Professor of Interior Design within the University of Florida’s College of Design Construction and Planning and a researcher for Public Health Resilience with the Florida Institute for Built Environment Resilience (FIBER). Her educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design, a Master of Science in Psychology, and a Ph.D. in Systems Science and Health Systems Engineering. Dr. Platt’s current research uses Human in the Loop Artificial Intelligence and Human Factors for integrating Prevention through Design in healthcare environments. She is an NCIDQ certified and licensed Interior Designer in Tennessee and Florida. She has patented two process models based on her research using Fuzzy Logic for predicting regional infection risk (Resilience Inference System for Performance Safety (RISPS) Patent No PCT/US2021/17507, USPTO, February 2021) and design component resilience (Prevention Through Design Environmental Material Intelligence Center (PtD-EMIC) Provisional Patent No. T18480US001 [222107-8785] June 2021).
